Homework & Trackers

Students are beginning to have more homework as we work through the 2nd half of the school year. Each night students should complete the following activities and turn in the paper assignments on Friday:

1. Read in their Chapter Book for 20 minutes and do a Retell (who or what, when, where, how and why of the text)

2. Complete their Fast & Fluent reading activity each night.

3. Colored Math Worksheet- We are spiraling back to beginning of the year skills for reinforcement. Please complete 1-2 problems each night.

4. Reflex Math- Some students are still NOT fluent in their Multiplication and Division facts. These are tracked in their Student Trackers. If they are not done, then students must continue to work on Reflex Math to get their Green light. They should work towards Fact Mastery before the end of year tests.

***Utah History Program*** Students were all given a cutout of a county of Utah. Students are meant to create a collage. They must find photographs from magazines or newspapers that relate to their county, cut them out, and glue them together to create a collage. They need to arrange them correctly using the arrows on the back. The writing will face down. Please help the kids take care of these and work on them so that they will be ready for our February 6th program.

Please let me know if they are any concerns or questions!

Valentine's Day & Food Permission Slip

Food Permission Form

We will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Feb 14 just before lunch from 11:30-11:55. We will be having a card exchange and playing with the prizes that were handed out to them. We will have some simple games/projects and won’t need any parent help for this holiday. The kids can bring a decorated box/bag on the morning of Feb 14. They will need those to be decorated at home. If you would not like to participate in creating a box/bag, please email me. I will have a simple bag for them to bring their cards/prized home in. If you have questions, please let me know. Thanks!

We are having a Utah Program at Quest (Q1) Academy, February 6th, at 6:00 PM. All of the 4th-grade students will be singing different Utah songs for you. As part of our Utah History Curriculum, attendance is required. Best dress (what you would wear to a wedding or church) or school uniform please. Please have your students in my classroom no later than 5:50 to be ready to head to the gym as a class to start our program. Along with singing, a few students from our room will have speaking parts. These parts need to be memorized. WE are excited to entertain you all! Invite everyone you know to come-no limit!

All of the 4th-grade kids have created something to show you about our beautiful state. To see what they have created, you may come before the program 5:00-5:30, or after the performance at about 7:00. Our class display will be in our classroom.
